Carbon fiber is made from carbon fiber bound material and the chief raw material used is acrylic fiber. Its special characteristics are: light weight, high resilience, high heat conductivity, low thermal expansion, and radio translucency.

CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) is mainly used for airplanes and automobiles (to make lighter and more energy efficient), sports products (tennis rackets, golf clubs, etc.), high radio translucency and medical equipment (top panel of X-ray equipment & X-ray cassettes) due to its rigidity and strength.

Recently, the use of carbon is even widely being seen in many hobby related products such as radio controlled cars (chassis and upper deck, damper stays, etc.), audio applications, beautiful carbon cloth specific woven designs, interior decoration for businesses, and accessories.
